Itinerary

Day 1
MAUN
Upon arrival in Botswana you are met by your Local Guide who will take you for a quick shopping session in case you need anything for the next couple days in the wilderness. After your shopping stop your guide will transfer you to your guesthouse to settle in and relax after your journey.

We will take it easy today as the next couple of days are full of adventure and excitement! Your guide will also do a full tour briefing over a relaxing dinner at the lodge this evening.

Day 2 & 3
OKAVANGO DELTA
This morning we wake up and enjoy our substantial breakfast from the guesthouse after which we head out on route through town and onwards to the magical Okavango Delta.

Today we travel on some remote, smaller gravel roads however the reward will most certainly be worth our efforts. This morning we aim to arrive at our poling station (this is where we meet our polers – the guys that will take us into the Delta with traditional wooden mokorros or canoes) – we aim to be here just before lunch so that we can enjoy lunch at the edge of the Delta before we continue our journey into the heart of the Okavango Delta, where us humans are only one species among many others that can be found on these magical islands.

We will spend two nights in complete wilderness on an island and our days will be spent both by the observation of all the flora and fauna in the area and in the form of a walking safari to soak up the scents and sounds of this incredible wilderness. We will also partake in some mokorro excursions and walks in the area.

Day 4
MAUN
Today we enjoy a relaxing breakfast as we set down camp and make our way back to Maun. We will do a quick shopping stop before heading back to our accommodation for the night.

Our afternoon is spent around the pool and relaxing before our next journey heading into Moremi Game Reserve and onwards to Savuti in the next couple of days.

For those looking for a scenic flight over the Okavango, this afternoon will give us some time to do so.

Day 5 - 9
MOREMI AND SAVUTI GAME RESERVE (GREATER CHOBE NATIONAL PARK)
Today we are heading for the eastern part of the famous Okavango Delta, through the Khwai area and into Moremi game reserve.

Our journey today is at the height of a true exploration expedition, indeed the road leading to our destination will give us an "African massage" but it will quickly be forgotten because once we reach our private camp we will settle in and enjoy the awe-inspiring beauty teaming with wildlife.

Moremi game reserve and Savuti is known for some of the famous Big 5 (elephant, buffalo, lion and leopard) as well as numerous other mammals, reptiles and bird species. It is a true wildlife enthusiast’s paradise and an area even National Geographic often explores and films wildlife documentaries in.

Our daily program will consist of getting up early in the morning with the beautiful African sunrise. We will enjoy a quick coffee or tea and rusk (traditional shortbread biscuit) before heading out on our morning safari. The morning safari will last around 3 to 4 hours (depending on what we encounter) after which we slowly make our way back to camp. Once we reach camp we will prepare a substantial

brunch after which you have some time to relax and have a siesta or read a book during the heat of the day.

We will then head out again on our afternoon safari around 15h00 or 16h00 (depending on the heat) for another 3 hour afternoon safari in search of animals and species we haven’t yet encountered.

The program is quite flexible as it all depends on what we see and the sightings we get to learn about while out on safari.

*Please note the days we leave from Moremi heading to Savuti and leaving from Savuti heading to Chobe National Park are some longer drives but still in wilderness areas and we can still see wildlife along the route.

Day 10
SAVUTI to KASANE and CHOBE NATIONAL PARK BOAT CRUISE
Today we depart Savuti on another morning game drive as we make our way north through the park to Kasane. Kasane is the town bordered by the Chobe River and Chobe National Park. Even in the city, you must keep an eye out because it is not uncommon to see baboons, warthogs and even elephants roaming around town amongst the vehicles and people.

Upon reaching town we will stop at a small restaurant for lunch (own expense) after which we are taken to the jetty for our afternoon Boat Cruise on the Chobe River inside Chobe National Park.

Our boat cruise will last around 3 hours and is a leisurely cruise along the banks and islands in the Chobe River and Chobe National Park. During the heat of the day a lot of the animals come down to the river to drink water and we are hoping to catch them as we cruise along.

After our cruise we are taken to our accommodation for the night we will check in and join up for dinner.

Day 11 & 12
VICTORIA FALLS
This morning we enjoy a leisurely start with a delicious breakfast before slowly packing our things and making our way to the nearby border crossing into Zimbabwe.

After completing all the border formalities we have about 1hour drive to the town of Victoria Falls. This afternoon we will take you to view Victoria Falls - one of the 7 natural wonders of the world!

The Victoria Falls waterfall presents a spectacular sight of awe-inspiring beauty and grandeur on the Zambezi River, forming a natural border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. It was described by the

Kololo tribe living in the area as ‘Mosi-oa-Tunya’ – ‘The Smoke that Thunders’ for the immense spray and incredible noise caused by the rushing water. Victoria Falls is now also known as the greatest curtain of falling water in the world when its width and height are combined.

After visiting the falls we head back to our accommodation to freshen up before heading out into town for an own expense dinner.

On day 12 you will have a full day in town to explore the numerous adventure activities on offer. These activities include things such as helicopter flight, rafting, boat ride to name a few (these are all optional activities)

Day 13
VICTORIA FALLS and END OF TOUR
This morning we enjoy yet another leisurely start with a delicious breakfast. Today’s plan depends entirely on your onward flight from Victoria Falls.

If you have a late afternoon/evening flight you can still book some adventure activities or have a stroll through town.

You will be taken to the airport 3 hours before your onward international flight. The tour officially comes to an end after breakfast on this morning.
