NAMIB DESERT
The Namib Desert is one of the places that anyone who is looking for the "most beautiful spots on the planet" dreams of seeing. For good reasons, the Namib desert is the oldest desert in the world and is listed on the UNESCO world heritage site list, which brings together some of the most spectacular landscapes in Namibia and the most photographed in the world.
Even if it receives very little rainfall, the drizzle from the sea is sufficient to allow several animal and plant species to inhabit it. We can see among others the Oryx, animal emblem of the country; the Bat Eared Fox, the charming little Desert Fox; the Springbok and the Giraffe. At the end of the day, we have a drink in the desert with the mountains and the sunset as a backdrop.

Leaving the ocean, we then head to the Brandberg massif. This mountain range covers an area of 760 km2 and can be seen from afar since with an average height of 2,500 meters, it exceeds the surrounding plains by 2,000 meters. Its summit, and highest mountain in Namibia, is Mount Königstein which reaches 2575 meters.
The Brandberg, which means “mountain of fire”, takes its name from the scarlet colors it tints at sunset, as if the mountain were on fire. The massif also contains a large quantity of cave paintings representing animals, people, maps, and other drawings, including the famous “White Lady”. In the company of a local guide, we discover these vestiges of life, immortalized no less than 6,000 years ago. A whole show awaits us!
