Itinerary

Day 1
JHB – SOUTHERN KRUGER
You are starting your fantastic adventure today by being picked up from the airport shuttle departure at 6.45 AM to travel the distance between Johannesburg and the town of Hazyview where you will be picked up by your experienced and professional guide that will look after you for the duration of your stay.

Your arrival time in Hazyview will be around 11h00 AM after which you will have enough time to enjoy lunch (own expense). After lunch we will be making our way to the entry gate of the Kruger National Park by traveling the short distance from Hazyview to the gate. We will then enjoy a nice informative afternoon safari conducted in our Open Safari Vehicle that will allow for the most optimal way of viewing mother nature and all the beauty of the fauna and flora.

We will spend the next 2 nights in Skukuza Rest Camp (or similar) and will be able to enjoy the typical thatch roof accommodation called rondavels (circular house). Inside you will have your own ensuite bathroom, air-condition, fridge and cooking equipment.

Rests camps in Kruger National Park allows us to have a real experience of the wilderness that surrounds us and by staying inside the park you get the opportunity to possibly hear lions roaring at night or hyenas calling each other while out hunting and feeding.

Day 2
KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
Today we get up early as we want to further explore the Southern Section of the Kruger National Park as soon as we can. The Southern section of the park offers the opportunity to see some different species of animals like Rhino, Wild Dogs, Herds of Buffalo and Elephant as well as other predators like Lion and Hyenas because the South usually has a bit more water, naturally attracting more animals.

We start the day early as the excitement takes us from bed, after a quick coffee/Tea and Rusks (Typical biscuit dipped in hot beverage) we depart as the gate open for a morning game drive in search of the famous big five (Elephant, Rhinoceros, Buffalo, Lion and Leopard) and many more because Kruger National Park is home to 150 species of mammals and 500 species of birds.

After this beautiful and informative morning on safari, we head back to camp to enjoy a substantial breakfast and have some relaxing time within the camp. Here you could take your time to splash into the swimming pool or walk around the camp where you can still find interesting animals to observe.

Lunch will be served today around 13h00 and after a quick siesta we will go again for an afternoon safari in search of species to increase our animal check list. After this beautiful and relaxing day in Africa we will enjoy an early dinner to be ready for the night drive organised by the rest camp. On this sunset night drive safari you will be searching for nocturnal species (animals that are mainly active at night time), and maybe will you be lucky to spot the illusive Leopard?

Day 3
KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
Today is the day that we proceed further north to discover some different areas in the Kruger National Park. Today we slowly make our way through the park to Satara (or similar) stopping at anything interesting along our route.

Satara Camp (and the Satara region in general), located in the centre of the Kruger National Park in South Africa, has its reputation for being one of the best spots in the world for viewing predators in their natural environment.

We will enjoy our Brunch on the way to Satara rest camp at the famous picnic spot of Tshokwane where you can have some relaxing time under the shade of magnificent trees;

watch out for monkeys! We aim to arrive at Satara rest camp in the early afternoon so you have some time to relax before the Afternoon/Evening Safari.

Day 4
KRUGER NATIONAL PARK AND SCENIC DRIVE BACK TO JHB
After another early morning safari still in search of some of the species we haven’t seen yet, we slowly make our way back to camp for breakfast. After breakfast, we depart the Kruger National Park area and slowly make our way back to civilization. We aim to be back in Hoedspruit around 10h30 as your shuttle from Hoedspruit departs at 11h00 AM and will arrive in Johannesburg around 17h00 PM.

The tour will end in the late afternoon upon arrival at the Airport.
